Go ahead, laugh it up
It seems the editors of the vocabulary book I use with my students have very good senses of humor. Knowing it is aimed at high schoolers, they have decided it would be a good idea to include the following words for us to study and discuss in depth this year:
grope
ravage
abut
chafe
defile
endow
penal
taint
Of all the words in the English language, you couldn’t have chosen ones a little less guaranteed to make the room erupt in laughter every single (every single) time they are uttered?
I probably would have done the same thing. Well played my friends.

Vocabulary Story Excerpt
I left the beach and went to the hotel to put my fancy attire on. I gave my old clothes to a lot of homeless people I saw on the beach, so it won’t go to waste and it could avail at the end of the day. The beach water was nice, clear, and cryptic. The beach was so big it was divergent all over the place! I was very enmity towards the seagulls because they always taking my food LOL. It was so fervent and damped out there on the beach I felt like my body temp was on 7000 degrees. The waves was like scavengers; they keep creeping up on me.
